Martin Krüger is a liability lawyer and co-founder of MAAK Advocaten. He is seen by clients as an analytical, tactical and accessible lawyer.
Martin is an expert in (EU) product regulations (CE marking) and advises and litigates on a wide range of liability issues and trade disputes within the manufacturing industry. He has a deep-rooted knowledge of product-specific European directives, regulations and harmonised standards. He regularly advises on legal issues surrounding machines , production lines, pressure equipment , personal protective equipment , medical devices and electronic equipment .
Martin is also approached by clients for international collaborations or purchase contracts. Due to his German origins (Heidelberg), Martin has a special focus on business relations between Dutch organizations and parties from the DACH countries (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).
Martin has a strong reputation in resolving contractual disputes, but also in holding companies liable in a non-contractual relationship, such as in tort . Martin is also an expert in product recalls .
Martin has been seen as an authority for the players in the manufacturing industry for years. Because Martin, as a liability lawyer, has a strong understanding of the intersection of legal and technology, he has been a regular sparring partner and house lawyer for the majority of his clients for years.
He has many years of experience in advising players in the European and international manufacturing industry in the chain of designer, supplier, producer, importer, distributor, retailer and end user.
His focus is on issues concerning product safety, (European and international) product regulations (e.g. CE marking), product liability and occupational health and safety legislation and regulations. Martin also supports his clients during inspections by a government authority.
In the event of a business dispute, Martin acts as a litigation lawyer in proceedings before the civil court or an arbitration institute.
In addition to his work as a lawyer, Martin regularly gives lectures at national conferences and workshops for companies and insurers.
Martin has registered the following main (and sub) areas of law in the legal areas register of the Dutch Bar Association :

Based on this registration, he is obliged to obtain ten training credits each calendar year in each registered main area of law in accordance with the standards of the Dutch Bar Association.
